Swiss HemActive – Sports Camp
Since 2013, Swiss HemActive Sports Camps realize the Programmed Sports Therapy in Switzerland too, using the same concept and content as in the German camps. Yearly two camps take place in Magglingnen (Switzerland), in the months of May/June and October/November. German as well as French speaking Swiss citizens are welcome and can take part in the 3-day-long camps. By means of individually adapted sports therapy and training consultation, the personal knowledge of people with haemophilia concerning physical exercise is supposed to be trained. In addition, the participants’ joint status, physical performance and quality of life are to be improved. Swiss HemActive sports camps also provide medical examinations in order to determine the therapy’s success once a year. Part of it is, amongst others, the collection of data concerning joint status as well as the use of questionnaires in order to check the subjective condition.
Goals
- improvement / preservation of joint status
- improvement of general physical performance
- improvement of strength, coordination, endurance and mobility
- enhancement of individual competence in the field of ‘sports & haemophilia’
- improvement of quality of life
Target Group
- people with haemophilia A or B from 18 years onwards (but also people affected by other blood clotting disorders)
- people with non-existing, but also with slight up to severe physical limitations
- inactive people, beginners, returning and physically active people
- companions are welcome
Participation should take place in agreement with doctor.
